Biography

Stephen Jurko, DO, received his Bachelor of Science in biology degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He then moved on to West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine to complete his Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree. His internship and residency in internal medicine were completed with East Carolina University at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. Dr. Jurko is passionate about complex internal medicine cases involving multiple organ systems and making a strong effort to incorporate a patient’s psychosocial influences into their care.

Dr. Jurko is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Being a Chesapeake native, he looks forward to taking care of patients in his hometown. His personal interests include spending time with his wife, walking their three rescue dogs, going to the gym, and playing video games.
