Biography

Shirui Chen, MD, received his Doctor of Medicine degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia and went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, Connecticut. Following this, he returned to Eastern Virginia Medical School where he completed a fellowship in nephrology & critical care medicine.

His clinical interests include shock, acute kidney injury, and sepsis. Dr. Chen is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and nephrology. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, reading, and kayaking.
