Biography

Prashant Barakoti, MD, received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Pokhara, Nepal. He completed his internship training from Patan Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal. Following this, he completed his internal medicine residency training at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Barakoti is proficient in lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, arthrocentesis, arterial blood gases, and central line replacement, skin biopsies/minor skin procedures, IND and laceration repair. Dr. Barakoti is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
