Biography

Naveen Akkina, MD, FCCP, ABSM, received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, India. He completed his internal medicine internship at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and his internal medicine residency at New York University in Manhattan, New York.

He later went on to complete his pulmonary medicine fellowship at Rosalind Franklin University/Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. He also completed his critical care medicine fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York.

Dr. Akkina is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the following fields:
