Biography

Miriam Galan-DeJesus, FNP-BC, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at Long Island University in Brooklyn Center, New York, and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She has experience in critical care and emergency nursing from the College Health Center at Old Dominion University. Ms. Galan-DeJesus also initiated the first nurse practitioner clinic for adult medical health care at DePaul Medical Clinic, and is a member of the American and Virginia Nurses Association. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
