Biography

Michael Leary, MSN, AG-ACNP-C, CEN-CMC, earned his Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from Norfolk State University and later graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Sentara College of Health Sciences located in Chesapeake, Virginia. He went on to achieve his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, specializing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. 

With a strong background in emergency medicine, Mr. Leary brings seven years of experience in emergency and trauma nursing, along with more than ten years of pre-hospital experience with Virginia Beach EMS. His clinical areas of interest encompass trauma and emergency medicine, critical care, and advanced heart failure management. 

Mr. Leary holds board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). He is a member of the AACN as well as the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.  In his leisure time he enjoys fishing, working out, cooking, and traveling with his wife.
