Mark Skees, MD, earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, and also completed his family medicine residency at Ghent Family Practice for Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is board certified in family medicine. Prior to starting his private practice, Dr. Skees served on active duty at the U.S. Army Health Clinic at Fort McPherson in Atlanta, Georgia, where he gained experience as an ER physician. He has served at DePaul Medical Group as a Chairman for the Department of Family Practice, a member of the Executive Committee, and as the President. Currently, he is a member of the community faculty at Eastern Virginia Medical School and Old Dominion University, where he is an avid Monarch supporter. He holds memberships with the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, Virginia Academy of Family Physicians, Tidewater Academy of Family Practice, and the Christian Medical Association.
