Biography

Kurt F. Strosahl, MD, FACC, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1971. He received his medical degree from Temple University in 1975. Dr. Strosahl completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital in 1976 and completed a cardiology fellowship at San Diego Naval Hospital in 1986.

Dr. Strosahl has practiced cardiology in the Hampton Roads area for over 25 years. He was a member of the Cardiology Division at Portsmouth Naval Hospital for 13 years, where he served as the Navy’s Surgeon General’s Specialty Advisor for Cardiology for two years and Head of Cardiology for one year. After retiring as a Captain in the United States Navy in 2002, Dr. Strosahl worked at Chesapeake Bay Cardiology for 13 years. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
