Biography

Kristie R. Wagstaff, MSN, APRN, WHNP-BC, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. She continued her education at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, where she completed of Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. Her clinical interests include family planning, contraceptive care, prenatal care, postpartum care, management of common gynecology conditions, and caring for women across their lifespan by including screenings for breast and cervical cancer.

Ms. Wagstaff is a former Army nurse officer and has worked in women’s health in military hospitals in Texas, Hawaii, South Korea, and Germany. She has worked in public health, correctional health, and has taught women’s health in multiple nursing programs. Ms. Wagstaff was raised in a military family and is originally from Leavenworth, Kansas. Now an Army spouse, she has recently moved to Hampton Roads and she is excited to serve the community.

Ms. Wagstaff is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with over twenty years of experience in women’s health. She is also a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, pets, and friends and serving in the women’s and children’s ministries at her church. She is a lover of animals and nature and she loves all things Kansas City, including the Chiefs, the Royals, and Kansas City barbecue.
