Biography

Ignacio Ripoll, MD, attended medical school at Javeriana University, Columbia and completed his residency at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, Canada. He then completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by serving as Chief Resident in internal medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.

Dr. Ripoll is board certified in pulmonary & critical care medicine, sleep medicine & internal medicine. Throughout his career, Dr. Ripoll has served on numerous Medical and Community Committees and Boards, and has vast teaching experience. He has made numerous presentations at scientific meetings and published many clinical articles. Dr. Ripoll is a member of 7 professional organizations, which include the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Chest Physicians.
