Deon O. Ford, MD, received his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Seton Hall University’s School of Health Sciences in South Orange, New Jersey. Furthering his education, Dr. Ford completed a fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. His clinical interests include advanced asthma disease, as well as advanced chronic pulmonary obstructive disease (COPD). He advocates for lung cancer screening and is trained in navigational bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) for cancer and pulmonary abnormality diagnoses. He practices evidence-based intensive care medicine as a member of our ICU team
Dr. Ford is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He is involved in many professional memberships including, but not limited to, the American College of Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and the American College of Chest Physicians. In his free time, Dr. Ford enjoys spending time with family, referring to his four daughters as the greatest joy of his life.
