Biography

Cynthia Dorr, MD, is a dedicated physician with a unique background, having worked as a nurse in the emergency department for 13 years before transitioning to a career as an emergency medicine physician. She graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in 1993 and completed her residency in emergency medicine at EVMS in 1997. With over 20 years of experience practicing emergency medicine, Dr. Dorr has most recently expanded her expertise to include urgent care and geriatric primary care.

She is passionate about community medicine, actively mentoring both medical and physician assistant students. Dr. Dorr is also deeply committed to mission work, having traveled to Lesotho, South Africa, and Belize for medical missions. Outside of her professional life she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two daughters, and their two beloved Yorkie pups.
