Biography

Cesar Plazas-Guzman, MD, graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Puerto Rico. He received his medical degree from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Dr. Plazas-Guzman completed his internal medicine residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia, where he also completed his endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism fellowship. His clinical interests include thyroid disorders and diabetes management.

Dr. Plazas-Guzman is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. He is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Thyroid Association, and the American College of Physicians.
