Biography

After completing his cardiology fellowship, Anil Patel, MD, FACC, moved to Virginia Beach and started a solo cardiology practice, Chesapeake Bay Cardiology. He continued to practice in Southside Hampton Roads from April 1988 until he joined Bayview in July 2015.

He is an active member of the Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin, Hampton Roads Chapter and was president of the Chapter in 2001. He was Chief of Medical Staff at Sentara Bayside Hospital from September 2002 -August 2003. He has been a member of the Credentialing Committee at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital since 2011. Dr. Patel speaks Hindi and Gujarati fluently.

Caring for and being accessible to patients at all times is Dr. Patel’s priority. He enjoys spending time with his family and practicing photography throughout the world during his travels.
