Biography

Amanda Ryan, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Riverside College of Health Careers in Newport News, Virginia. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Furthering her education, Ms. Ryan completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, Florida. Her clinical interests include family medicine, health literacy, and improving patient education, with goals of managing chronic diseases and improving patient outcomes to make sure they have the best quality of life.

Ms. Ryan is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Outside of her professional duties, Ms. Ryan enjoys surfing, working out, and attending her son’s travel baseball games with her family.
