Biography

Ahmed S. Ahmed, MD, received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Duhok, College of Medicine, in Duhok, Iraq. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Here, he also completed a fellowship in endocrine and metabolic disease. His clinical interests include diabetes, obesity, and adrenal disorders.

Dr. Ahmed is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the Endocrine Society. In his free time, he enjoys playing the piano, traveling, and cooking.
