Biography

Mary F. Maturi Allen, MD, FACC, completed undergraduate and medical school in the Honors Medical Program at Northwestern University. She completed her internal medicine residency at University of Maryland and then completed a clinical research fellowship at the National Institute of Health where she presented original research at national meetings and published many studies on cardiac physiology research. She then completed a clinical cardiology fellowship at Duke University with special training in cardiac nuclear imaging and echocardiography.

Before working with Cardiovascular Associates Ltd., Dr. Maturi Allen worked for over 20 years at the Hampton Veterans Administration Hospital as Chief of Cardiology and Chief of Nuclear Medicine Imaging. She continues to volunteer at the Beach Health Clinic.
