Biography

Jorge Zarate, MD, has over ten years of experience in hospital medicine and joined Bayview Hospitalists in 2010. His medical degree is in family practice. He completed a residency with Riverside Family Practice Program in Newport News followed by a fellowship in faculty development and leadership at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. In his current position, he is the Bayview Hospitalist Site Director at Sentara Leigh, the Hospital Director of Documentation Specialist Initiative, a member of the Sentara Hospitalist Clinical Effectiveness Team and a member of the Hospital Patient Care Committee.
