Biography

Youssef Abouleish, MD, received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, where he also completed an internship. He then completed a residency in internal medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Furthering his education, he completed fellowships in improvement science, pulmonary & critical care medicine, and sleep medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, as well. His professional interests include interstitial lung disease, COPD, asthma, and sleep apnea.

Dr. Abouleish is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease. He is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American College of Physicians, and many more professional groups. When he is not working, he enjoys playing basketball and spending time with family.
