Dr. Lucas Gambill is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, the National Osteopathic Honor & Service Fraternity. He completed his medical training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond, VA, where he also served as chief fellow during his final year of fellowship. While pursuing his clinical fellowship, Dr. Gambill actively participated in clinical research, studying the inflammatory response in acute coronary syndromes and heart failure. His other areas of interest include sports cardiology, resuscitative medicine, and critical care cardiology.
Dr. Gambill is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease. He serves the practice and its patients as an invasive, non-interventional cardiologist with areas of expertise in diagnostic transradial coronary angiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and nuclear medicine.
Dr. Gambill is native Virginian having been born and raised in Richmond, and he attended the College of William & Mary for his undergraduate studies. He has strong ties to the Hampton Roads area having served on active duty in the US Navy at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Dr. Gambill returns to the area with his wife and four children, and is accepting new patients and is available for consultations and diagnostic testing at the Virginia Beach office.
