Dr. David Adler is a native of Richmond, Virginia. He attended the University of Virginia for undergraduate education and the Medical College of Virginia for medical school. He completed an internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University where he stayed on to complete cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology fellowships.
Dr. Adler has extensive experience and expertise in transradial (from the wrist) cardiac catheterizations. He performs complex coronary interventions and has a special interest in heart valve and congenital heart conditions. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Adler has published in international scientific and medical journals, is a frequent lecturer at national and international meetings, and teaches locally on faculty at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
Dr. Adler is Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Internal Medicine. His specialties include transradial cardiac catheterization, complex coronary intervention, valvular heart disease, catheter-based structural heart/valve procedures, ASD/PFO closure, and echocardiography.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Adler enjoys running, cycling, and spending time outdoors with his wife and two children.
