Dr. Arthur Roberson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He attended medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Following his residency training, Dr. Roberson opened a private practice in Blacksburg, Virginia, where he led the development of a hospitalist program at Montgomery Regional Hospital.
Dr. Roberson worked as a hospitalist as well as an assistant professor of Medicine at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine for twelve years before joining Bayview Physicians Group in 2016. During that time, Dr. Roberson helped start a residency training program for internal medicine and family practice residents and had an active role in training over 2,200 medical students and 200 residents.
Dr. Roberson is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the Virginia Medical Society.
In his free time, Dr. Roberson enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, walking on the beach, lifting weights, reading, watching movies, and playing with his Siamese cat, Sam.
